The Fort Mill School District could be looking at nearly $400 million in new school construction and maintenance costs in the next decade, according to a news report by Fort Mill Times.
At a recent school board meeting, district consultant Jim Britton with Cumming Corp., a Fort Mill-based construction management company, presented the 10-year facility needs update plan.
If his projections pan out, the district will need to add five schools in the next 10 years, he said.The plan acts as a guide for the board to determine how to manage future growth.
