South Carolina Elections Bode Well for Construction

Statewide results in the South Carolina General Election bode well for the construction industry, says construction trade association Carolinas AGC.

Construction industry wins include: the approval of two school bond referendums in Berkeley and Dorchester Counties, totaling over $375 million; and the penny sales tax increase for transportation in Richland County, where voters approved a measure to complete more than a billion dollars of major road projects over the next 22 years. The election also brought a victory to business leader Tom Rice in the newly created Congressional seat, over pro-union candidate Gloria Tinubu.
