McCrory Construction opens Greenville SC office to serve NC, Georgia and upstate SC clients

Columbia, SC-based McCrory Construction Company says it is adding a regional office in Greenville, SC to serve clients in North Carolina, Georgia and South Carolina’s upstate region. The office will be the 98-year-old firm’s first full-service office outside of Columbia.

The company anticipates additional expansion there with as many as 10 office, field management and administrative support positions in the coming months.

“The I-85 corridor and upstate South Carolina, northeastern Georgia and western North Carolina have proven to be key areas of growth and focus for our organization, and McCrory is responding to customer interest in our having a physical presence in the region,” said McCrory president and CEO Allen Amsler. “Adding this full-service presence also allows us to consider future strategic growth opportunities for our people as we expand. Growing our organization regionally by adding and promoting top talent is consistent with our vision of becoming one of America’s leading construction companies.”

Executive vice-president Donald G. Warren, former President and CEO of Suitt Construction Company in Greenville, will lead the office with Fred Fulmer, also formerly of Suitt, who will serve as director of preconstruction services. Marketing and business development will be coordinated by Dennis G. Shealy.
