Jeffrey E. Griffin has joined W.O. Blackstone & Co. Inc. as executive vice president for marketing and strategic planning, said Lewis M. Caswell, chairman and CEO of the mechanical contracting firm. The Columbia Business Report says Griffin most recently worked on business development at Mashburn Construction Co. Caswell said Griffin’s role will include business development, as well as responsibilities for growing and expanding the business through strategic initiatives and programs.
“We expect that Jeff will add a new dimension of leadership to our business and we are confident that he will be a major part of our future with the potential for equity ownership,” Caswell said. “We look forward to having him as an integral part of our strong management team.”
Griffin is a Columbia native, holding a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina and a master’s from the University of Colorado. He has been active in the community and within economic development organizations. He currently chairs the Palmetto Conservation Foundation and is a board member of the Committee of 100, the private support and marketing arm of the Central SC Alliance for economic development, the Urban Land Institute and the South Carolina Economic Development Association.
