McCroy Construction adds executives for southeastern growth plans

South Carolina-based McCrory Construction Company, in its first visible move as it eyes Southeastern growth, has added two construction executives to its team, company officials have announced.

Joining McCrory on the firm’s newly expanded senior management team as executive vice-president is Donald G. Warren, former president and CEO of Suitt Construction Company in Greenville and most recently executive vice-president/Carolinas Division of Florida-based Moss and Associates.

He joins McCrory executive team members Allen B. Amsler, president and CEO; Del Rosebrock, vice-president and CFO; Dennis G. Shealy, senior vice-president of business development; Gail Chapman, vice-president of preconstruction services; Randy Morrison, vice-president of safety and HR; and directors Ralph Trinter, Bill Osborne, Larry Kingery and W. Allen Bridgers.

With more than 30 years of progressive construction experience, Warren has particularly deep expertise in industrial construction in the manufacturing, food processing, pharmaceutical and bioscience arenas, the company said in a news release.. A graduate of North Carolina State University with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, he is a founding member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA), a past chairman and director of DBIA, and a designated Design-Build professional.

He is a past director of the National Center for Construction Education and Research, involved with four “Food Plant of the Year” award-winning projects, and a two-time honoree of national Design-Build Projects of the year. Don and his wife Debbie reside in Simpsonville and are active members of First Baptist Church.

Also joining McCrory’s leadership group as director of preconstruction services is Fred Fulmer, formerly of Suitt Construction and Moss and Associates.

Fulmer has more than 35 years of experience in construction, primarily focused on estimating and preconstruction responsibilities. His broad range of experience includes successful preconstruction assignments from Florida and the Carolinas to Virginia and Texas. His experience includes work in distribution, manufacturing/industrial, food, pharmaceutical, hospitality, healthcare and other arenas, and includes such delivery methods as competitive bid, negotiated design-bid-build and design-build projects.

He holds a B.S. degree in Building Construction from Clemson University, and is a member of the Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA). Members of Messiah Lutheran Church, Fulmer and his wife Beth live in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Both Warren and Fulmer will work regionally on customer assignments for McCrory, whose clients span the Southeast and include Fuji , Pfizer, BMW, Duke Energy, Westinghouse, Shealy Electrical, Walmart, Publix Super Markets, Belk, Clemson University, University of South Carolina, Michelin North America and many others.
