ABC Announces New Workforce Training Facility: Carolinas Construction Institute

The Carolinas Chapter of Associated Builders and Contractors (ABC) announced a second major step forward in recent months for the chapter’s Workforce Development efforts.  In September 2012, ABC announced the purchase of a new education and training facility for apprenticeship, safety, management, and education training.  This week, ABC announced a new name for ABC’s training, the Carolinas Construction Institute.

“The ABC Carolinas Construction Institute is a key focal point of ABC’s Strategic Initiative to train America’s workforce and to bring young people into the industry,” said Doug Carlson, ABC President.  “ABC is expanding to meet the needs of the construction industry providing education, training and safety courses to the workforce of the future.”

ABC announced that a grand opening event and open house will take place on February 28th at 5:00 pm in conjunction with the association’s monthly social event.  The event will take place at the new facility at 610 Minuet Lane in Charlotte.  Read More.
