WeylChem U.S. Inc. announced that it is expanding its facility in Kershaw County, S.C.
The $10.8-million investment is expected to create 49 new jobs, the company said in a statement.
WeylChemis improving the site infrastructure at its manufacturing plant in Elgin, S.C. The company plans to add equipment with computer controls to enable the company to better serve the chemical industry in a more environmentally responsible way.
WeylChem is part of a group of companies owned by the International Chemical Investors Group. The company specializes in developing and producing products used in the agricultural and pharmaceutical industries, as well as in the development of polymers and specialty chemicals.
