DPR Construction, a national technical builder specializing in highly complex and sustainable projects, recently signed a Letter of Intent to acquire Atlanta-based Hardin Construction Company, LLC. The two companies intend to combine operations in the Southeast and Texas markets, where both have a strong local presence. The goal is to finalize the transaction in March at which time more information will be announced.

We view this as an opportunity to scale operations in the Southeast and provide even better service to customers.”

Hardin’s portfolio includes more than 1,400 projects, including a number of landmark buildings including the PNC Plaza building in Raleigh. Ranked the 24th largest general contractor in the nation by ENR magazine, DPR ’s notable projects include the Facebook data centers in Forest City, NC and Clemson University Bio-Science buildings in Clemson, SC.
DPR is a privately held, employee-owned company with 17 offices around the country, including Raleigh. Privately-held, Hardin’s headquarters is in Atlanta, with a branch office in Raleigh and four other Southeast locations.
