Coastal Logistics Group has established a new facility in Dorchester County to serve customers shipping through the Port of Charleston, reports WBTW.
The $1.2 million investment has already created 30 new jobs and is expected to create another 30 jobs in the coming months.
The company’s 200,000-sq. ft. facility houses value-added services for customers that ship goods internationally through the South Carolina Ports Authority’s terminals.
CLG is operating the facility as part of a strategic alliance the company formalized last year with Kuehne + Nagel Inc. The alliance leverages Kuehne + Nagel’s international footprint and supply chain management services with CLG’s expertise in warehousing and distribution.
