Moss & Associates announced that the firm will provide design-build services for Keer Group Co. Ltd’s yarn plant planned in Indian Land, SC.
“Speed-to-market is critical to the Keer Group and our team of design-build professionals will work to deliver their project on schedule and under budget,” Don Warren, executive vice president of Moss & Associates.
Construction on the yarn facility is expected to begin in February 2014. Keer will produce industrial cotton yarn there using cotton grown in the region, and will export the yarn to China via the Port of Charleston.
Keer Group announced the $218 million cotton yarn plant in December 2013. The investment includes construction of a 230,000-square-foot manufacturing facility and the creation of 501 jobs over the next five years. Moss & Associates is headquartered in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., and its Carolinas division is located in Greenville, SC.
