Innovative Machining Technology Inc., which is engaged in global supply of original equipment manufacturer (OEM) components for the power generation industry, announced that it will open a new manufacturing facility in Dorchester County, South Carolina.
The company’s $7.8 million investment is expected to create 45 new jobs, according to a statement.
The 37,000-square-foot facility, located in Summerville, will manufacture components for power generation equipment, including gas turbines, as well as nuclear and hydrogen generators that are in service around the globe.
The new facility is expected to be operational in early 2015 with plans to begin hiring new associates in late 2014.
